Cheers to Monday | October 31st

The Week in Review | October 25 – 31, 2016

This is an extra special Cheers to Monday because this week’s “edition” marks exactly ONE YEAR since I started writing them!!! It seems so crazy to think about what we were doing around this time an entire year ago….we had driven down to FL two-ish weeks prior and were juuuuust starting to get settled into a new area that we believed the Lord had clearly directed us to! And now here we are, 12 very full months later, and while a lot has changed and grown, some things are just the same as they were in that very first Cheers, which you can go back and read right here…We’ve just recently had our fourth annual corn maze date (over birthday weekend), and tonight we’ll be enjoying Year #2 of camping out in the bedroom together to watch fun TV shows and enjoy Chinese food ❤️

? Happy One Year, Cheers to Monday! ?

And with that, here are just a few of the highlights of the past seven days!

-I went to the dentist for a filling, which I know doesn’t seem like much of a highlight at all, but….this dentist that was recommended to me is AMAZING. She and her staff are just about the friendliest people that there are, and I really and truly could not have had a better experience either of the times that I’ve seen her so far!

-Wednesday night, I had the honor of doing a family session for a sweet friend of mine that I met through the Rising Tide Society! I met her and her little tribe at Philippe Park up in Safety Harbor, and couldn’t even believe how gorgeous it was there!!! If you missed it last week, this is the sneak peek that I shared on the business page when I got home that night, which makes me even more excited to be sharing their session next week….can you believe how sweet they are and how pretty that evening light was?! ?

-I went out adventuring and picked up most of the supplies that I need for the Salty Pine Paper Co. Christmas launch coming up…..NEXT MONDAY!!! 😀 Stay tuned over on the business page for more updates this week so you don’t miss the free giveaway!!!

-Yesterday afternoon and evening, I had the pleasure of getting to work alongside Greta Green of Green Pearl Photography, to second-shoot a wedding out at White Chapel Harbor Hall with her! This is actually the second time I’ve gotten to work at that venue, and I still love it just as much! Below is one of my favorite images from the 2015 wedding there….I can’t wait to share last night’s images with y’all soon!!!

PS – If you’re wondering what the feature image at the top of tonight’s post is all about…it’s the drawing that was on the side of the box that my rental equipment for the wedding was delivered in! Last year, I found out via my rental company’s social media (Lens Pro to Go) that if you ask them to draw something for you on the box, they actually will because they’re crazy talented!!! My first request was Calvin and Hobbes (see how awesome that turned out here), and this time around, I think I requested something like “Fall in New England”…on the short side of the box, they drew that adorable racoon, and on the long side, they drew a tree with leaves blowing all around it! ?
