Cheers to Monday | October 24th

The Week in Review | October 18 – 24, 2016

Hi friend! How are you? I hope you’re having a lovely Monday so far 🙂 I’ve been camped out at a local coffee shop all afternoon, co-working with a new friend and being so productive! And fall feels like it’s FINALLY visiting Florida, with nighttime temps down in the high 50s and low 60s, so you can be sure we’ve been sleeping with alllllll the windows open to take advantage of that cool breeze!

And with that, here are just a few of the highlights of the past seven days!

-Luke helped me choose which new products to add to the Salty Pine Paper Co. shop for the Christmas season!!! I’ll be working on those over the next couple of weeks, and can’t wait to debut them into the shop next month! Stay tuned for more announcements coming soon!

-That sweet family in this post’s feature image? That’s my sister-in-law, her hubby, and their three gorgeous (and hilariously sassy) girls (please note the two oldest and their picture-ready faces ?)! Their family session is officially edited and ready to be blogged! Be sure to check the This Good Life Facebook page on Wednesday morning to see their full session!!!

-We spent Saturday morning out and about around town, yard sale-ing (saling?), hitting up our favorite thrift stores, trying a local coffee shop for the first time together, and in the evening, getting the house all cleaned. Random Jenny Fact #1 – I’m a total nerd about cleaning the house, and LOVE when it’s all picked up and neat. That night, I was able to sweep, mop, finish the laundry, and change our sheets, so everything felt crisp and fresh and just perfect….I slept like a baby, especially with the windows open!

-Yesterday afternoon, we joined our community group downtown to gather outside of one of our local abortion clinics to pray, as part of the international 40 Days for Life movement. It was a very emotional and gut-wrenching experience, and afterwards, Luke and I realized, without having talked about it together during the event, that we were both feeling like that’s an area that we need to start being actively involved in, with our prayers AND with our time.

-I’m heading to Ikea tonight to pick up a few key things for the house, including a new duvet cover (Lucy chewed through our old one earlier this year) and a fun shelf display for storage in my office! Random Jenny Fact #2 – I LOVE Ikea. ?
