Cheers to Monday | February 27th

I’m camped out at a local coffee shop right now, catching up on emails, planning out the week ahead, etc, and I’m extra excited about tonight’s Cheers because it’s been a really fun week!

. . . Here are just a couple of the highlights!

– Y’all remember Emily and Brandon and Baby Payton from their Fresh 48 session right? Well, last Tuesday, I got to have lunch with Emily and Payton, and oh my goodness, it was the best time. We laughed and shared over grilled cheese and burgers, and it was just so good to see them both and catch up. Emily is such a dear friend, and I am beyond thankful for her honesty and vulnerability about motherhood, marriage, and Jesus. Time with her is always refreshing and encouraging!!

– If we’re friends, then you probably already know this, but…I LOVE birthdays! I think they are so special and I get exceptionally excited when they’re around the corner. And this past Saturday was Luke’s birthday, so you can imagine how excited I was about THAT! It basically felt like Christmas morning…I woke up early and smiling, and couldn’t wait to celebrate him and surprise him with fun adventures! We started off the day with breakfast at a local diner, where we dove into humongous plates of our favorite morning things (I had biscuits and gravy, and the bowl was literally bigger than my head. Holy moly.) Afterwards, we drove up to Tampa and played at Top Golf for the very first time, and had SO much fun! Neither of us had ever been to anything like that before, and we ended up extending our time in the bay just to get a few more swings in! From there, we stopped at an arcade for a few fun games, and then drove back across the bridge to a local spot called Guppy’s On the Beach, where we had THE most delicious dinner (Luke got shrimp and grits, and I got salmon). The rest of the night was spent snuggled up on the couch sharing homemade chocolate cake + ice cream, the perfect way to wrap up our fun birthday day! ? ❤️  (Here are some fancy phone snaps from the day! ? )

I think he was the only one in our family that developed the palate for grits. 😉 So glad you both had a special day together!! <3
