Cheers to Monday | April 11th
The Week in Review | April 5 – April 11, 2016
This past week was busy busy busy, with all kinds of fun things going on, and even though I’m feeling SO slow today and driving the struggle bus, I’m so grateful for these days and their fullness, because they’ve brought so many sweet answers to prayer and have reminded me over and over again of the Lord’s constant faithfulness and kindness ❤️
And with that, here are some of the highlights of the past seven days:
-Tuesday was super! I drove up to Tampa that morning and spent two hours in the studio of a new photographer friend who’s also a believer. We shared our hearts and a few dreams, and spoke encouragement over one another, and when I left, I felt so filled up and hopeful. Thank you so much, Theresa!
Once I got back to St. Pete, my bestie, Kim, and I met for an afternoon of catching up at the beach. We’ve been right in the middle of some schedule changes, and our times together in person have been rare the past few weeks ?, so getting to see her face and sit together in the sunshine and water and just reconnect was so wonderful and good for the soul!
-On Wednesday, I had the honor of meeting one of the families from our Giving Back fundraiser, who asked me to document the adoption finalization of their six-month-old sweet boy. And OH MY GOODNESS, it was something I’ll never, ever forget. If you want to see why, grab some tissues, and click right here.
-Luke and I got to spend some great time getting to know church friends and building that community we’ve been praying for! On Thursday night, we had a meal together with our small group, potluck style, full of lots of laughter and getting-to-know-you. On Friday night, one of the couples from that group invited us and the leaders over for taco night, and we didn’t end up leaving for home until after 11pm! ? It was just THAT good!
-We wrapped up the week with the church’s annual picnic out at Fort Desoto beach yesterday afternoon! There were games, hammocks, amazing food, and best of all, the makings of all kinds of friendships. If you aren’t following along with us on Snapchat (therickertwo), then you missed out on all kinds of fun photos and videos from the day!!! 😉 I’d love to be Snap friends!
-And I know it’s a little “early” but I’m too excited to wait until next Monday to share…this Thursday, my bestie, Erin, is flying down from Virginia for a girls weekend with Kim and I…AND WE CAN’T WAIT!!!!! Watch out, Florida! You aren’t ready for these Three Amigos to be reunited! 😉 ????
